What is Parental Control?
Parental controls give you the ability to use your cable set-top box to control the programs that come into your home. The parental control feature allows you to customize the control by adult rating, channel, movie rating, title, or TV rating. To access the parental control function on your TV, press Menu twice then go to Locks.

If no parental code is set, enter a four-digit code. You will be prompted to reenter the code. The next screen shows many choices to customize the parental control:
Adult Titles: This allows any program titles with an adult rating to be hidden. The flip bar or any other information about the channel will be hidden
Channel: This choice allows you to block all programming on certain channels regardless of rating. To block a channel use the blue left and right arrows to move to the channel that you wish to block then press the lock button.
Movie Rating: This choice allows you to block all movies of certain ratings. Use the left and right blue arrow buttons to scroll through the various ratings. Once the rating is found that you want to block press the lock button on the remote. Now all movies of that rating will be blocked.
Title: To block out a specific program you must find the program either by searching, browsing for it, or if it is currently on. Once it is on the flip bar on the bottom of the TV screen press lock on the remote control. You will be prompted to enter your four digit parental code. You now have the option of locking the title by pressing lock on the remote control. Next to the program name you will see  . Now anytime this program is on it will be locked out.
TV Rating: This choice allows you to block all programs of certain TV ratings. Use the left and right blue arrow buttons to scroll through the various ratings. Once the rating is found that you want to block press the lock button on the remote. Now all programs with this TV rating will be blocked.
Master Locks: This function allows you to bypass all locks temporarily. To enable, highlight the no then press the right blue arrow button. Now you have the choice of bypassing the locks or to clear all locks. Remember to turn locks back on, to do this simply press lock on the remote control and you will be asked if you want to turn the locks back on.
Additional Setup:
Press menu twice then scroll to setup then to PIN’s setup. On the bottom of the screen there is an option if power is lost lock all programs until titles and ratings are restored. This function was implemented due to the ability to bypass locked ratings or titles when the power was removed from the settop. If any channel locks were set they are still activated.
