How To Convert Mac OS X Mail to pop3.rushmore.com
1. Open Mac OS X Mail
2. If you have any existing email in an IMAP folder move it to your inbox Folder by selecting the IMAP folder. Click on Edit, Select All, then drag all the messages to your Inbox Folder. If all your email already appears under Inbox, skip this step.
3. Click on Mail on the menu bar at the top.
4. Click on Preferences.
5. Click on the Accounts button in the Preferences window.
6. Remove your old email account by clicking the “-“ sign on the bottom of the accounts window while your old account is highlighted. Repeat this for each of your mail accounts.
7. Click on the “+” button on the bottom left to add the new account.
8. Under General Information select the following:
a. Server type: POP
b. Account Description: Rushmore.com Email
c. Full Name: Your Name
d. Email Address: The same email address you have always had, example@rushmore.com.
9. Under Incoming Mail Server:
a. Incoming Mail Server: pop3.rushmore.com
b. Username: This will be the first part of your email address.
c. Password: This will be the same password you have always used.
10. Under Incoming Mail Security:
a. Leave use secure sockets layer (SSL) unchecked.
b. Authentication: Password
11. Under Outgoing Mail Server:
a. Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.rushmore.com
b. Check Use Authentication
c. Username: This will be the first part of your email address.
d. Password: This will be the same password you have always used.
12. Under Outgoing Mail Server Security:
a. Leave Use secure sockets layer (SSL) unchecked
13. Click Continue on Account Summary.
14. Under Conclusion hit Done. Repeat steps 7 through 14 for each of your email accounts. |
